Project name: Peru: Montalvo-Los Heroes transmission line
Project description:

The Peruvian state has signed the contract with Spanish firm Red Electrica Internacional (REE) and its partner AC Capitales SAFI for the 220kV transmission line between Montalvo and Los Héroes.  

Under the 30-year concession, the firms will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the line with an investment of up to $40m.   

Other works for the project, which aims to provide energy to the city of Tacna, involves the expansion of the current substations of Montalvo and Los Heroes. The project is expected to be operational by 2019.
