Phoenix preps advisory RFP

16 June 2017 The City of Phoenix is preparing to issue a request for proposals (RFP) for P3 advisory services, P3 Bulletin understands.

Milton Dohoney, assistant city manager, told P3 Bulletin that the authority expects the RFP to be issued mid to late July.

He also confirmed that the selected teams would be available to the city for any project, including the expansion of the light rail system.

As previously reported, the city is seeking financial, legal, and technical advisors for its P3 pipeline.

This week, the Phoenix transport agency Valley Metro Rail ordered 11 new light rail vehicles from Siemens. The order also includes an option for up to 67 additional vehicles.

Meanwhile, a request for qualifications (RFQ) is expected to be issued in the fourth quarter for the West Ground Transportation Center Development Opportunity at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, with several P3 developers eyeing the deal. For more information, click here.

An RFQ is also expected to be issued by the Arizona Department of Transportation in July for a lighting P3 in the Phoenix region.
