Nine bid for Jamaica airport

18 May 2017 Nine firms have submitted bids for the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) P3 in Jamaica.

Following the most recent bid deadline of May 1, the following companies have responded to the request for qualifications (RFQ), issued in February:

  • ·         Vinci Airports
  • ·         Cedicor
  • ·         Acciona Concesiones
  • ·         GMR Infrastructure
  • ·         Zurich Airports
  • ·         Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico
  • ·         Corporacion del Este
  • ·         EGIS Projects SA
  •           Jamaica Infra Development Partners

The teams have now been pre-qualified for the deal and will be allowed to conduct due diligence to support final bids, which are expected by November 2017.

The Government is then aiming to announce the winning bidder by December 2017.

The government is seeking a private operator with proven experience in the airport sector to operate, finance, develop and maintain NMIA.
