RFQ for Ottawa Trillium Line

10 April 2017 The City of Ottawa has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the second part of the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit Project.

Ottawa is seeking a partner to design, build, finance and maintain the Trillium Line Extension Project, which will see the line continue from Greenboro to Bowesville in Riverside South, while adding a spur to the to the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, with stations at Uplands Drive and at the airport terminal building.

The $535m extension of the high capacity light rail transit line south is expected to be completed in 2021.

Qualifications are due by June 6 and questions by May 23.

Trillium Line South is one of the three Stage 2 extensions to Ottawa’s O-Train system planned between 2018 and 2023. 

Qualifications are now due for the Confederation Line Extension Project on May 19, 2017, following a deadline extension. The RFQ for the $2.5bn bundled project was issued last month.
