Winner for BC wastewater plant

7 April 2017 Metro Vancouver has awarded the contract for the $525m new Lions Gate Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant in British Columbia.

The ADAPT Consortium has been selected to design and construct the new plant, which will provide secondary sewage treatment services to a population of about 200,000 residents of three municipalities and two First Nations on the North Shore.

ADAPT includes Acciona, Dialog Design, Amec Foster Wheeler and TetraTech.

Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2017 with completion in December 2020.

The authority received three proposals for the contract in late 2016.

Meanwhile, Deloitte and KPMG have submitted bids for a financial and commercial advisory services contract tendered in February by the authority for the project.
